The certification is PADI which is known world wide. The instructor will be Richard Hess assisted by Angelique Hess as Dive Master,  along with other candidates as needed. In the class you spend each night reviewing the chapters knowledge reviews and practicing the skills from each chapter in the pool. Finally on Saturday and Sunday you get to enjoy your first open water dives. On Monday through Thursday. the time is from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the First Health Center in Pinehurst and on Saturday and Sunday the times differ. The cost is $235 for members of the gym and $260 for non members, this covers classroom and pool work. Open water dives are additional. Please sign up as soon as possible so that you may pick up your books to complete the reading and knowledge reviews before the class.

If you are sick of being so tired after every dive trip an Enriched Air certification may be for you. The regular air used for scuba diving can cause a person to feel extremely tired especially over the age of 40. Nitrox or enriched Air can decrease this problem with proper certification and may also allow longer bottom time. If you are interested we will be holding a class soon so please contact us. Cost is $150.00.

If you are looking to better your buoyancy or to get another specialty course. This course involves individual work before the class and then training dives. In the location of your training dives we set up a training area. If you would like to join the class call the dive shop to get your material.

Have you invested some money into your dive gear? Would you like to know how to properly care for that investment? If so call the shop to join the Equipment Specialty course.

Are you tired of getting cold in the water or being soaking wet when you are done with the dive and want to find a way to come out dry? If so then contact the dive shop for more information on the Dry Suit Specialty Course offered at the dive shop. The checkout dives will be held at Blue Stone Dive Resort in Thomasville, NC where you will be the envy of all the divers in wetsuits. 

If you are interested in continuing your diving career into the professional field the Emergency First Response/CPR course is a stepping stone in that direction. Also, for those of you that are not planning to adventure into the professional world this is a highly recommended course for you learn how to prevent, prepare, and treat conditions that may come up in the diving world.  Call for information about joining the class.

Dive master allows you to take your diving to a new level, the professional level. In order to begin the class you must have Rescue Certification, which includes Emergency First Response. The course involves book work, classroom work, working with students at different levels, and water work. The details will be given out the first night. Though the work my sound tedious, the class is a lot of fun and very rewarding. Unfortunately the shop is currently in the middle of a Dive master course but if you are interested in joining please inform us.
